With the coconut oil detox, the old adage "the simple things in life are often the best" is so relevant.
I have two very simple daily detox procedures I use with coconut oil.
1. The Mouth Swirl
Warm up a spoon full of Coconut oil and swirl it around in your mouth for 15 minutes. Ensure you spit it out when you are finished.
The pushing/pulling action of your tongue, the swirling around your teeth and gums - great for oral health. Not to mention on the glands within the mouth. This is where digestion starts in the body and detox from the glands is the greatest. Coconut oil naturally attracts toxins and assists them to leave the body. This process is often called "Oil Pulling" and is very effective.
2. Detox Tea
Replace your morning tea/coffee with this acquired taste cup of tea. It is best taken first thing in the morning but you can have it as many times throughout the day as you desire.
A teaspoon of coconut oil, 1 fresh lemon juiced and hot/warm water. Sipped slowly is best and you can even swirl it around in your mouth if you wish before you swallow it. If you need to add honey to sweeten at first go ahead. Usually once you have had one or two you get used to the funny taste.
You will even feel the benefits of these two coconut oil detox techniques straight away! You may feel cleaner and less toxic. You may even find your body detoxes a little more than normal. I suggest not trying the tea before you have to go out to an important meeting!
